About Us
Welcome to KidSpace! We’re glad you stopped by!
KidSpace is a private, not-for-profit, childcare and learning center located conveniently near Downtown Akron. We are here to serve busy professionals and families working and living in the Akron area. With accessible hours and proximity to many employers, like the University of Akron, Summa and Goodyear, you can truly be involved in your child’s daily experiences – from lunch to classroom activities.
We offer full and part time child care for children ages 6 weeks and older. We have a preschool program for children ages 3-5 years old and also a school-aged summer program.
Our center is a Two-Star center in the State’s Step Up to Quality Program. That means our classrooms are smaller, our teachers are highly specialized and most importantly, our top priority is the care we provide to your children.

Awards
KidSpace is proud to be an award winner of the Step Up to Quality program for the last three years. Most recently, we have met our goals to become a Two-star center by the State of Ohio!
Only the top early care and education programs in Ohio receive this prestigious award and our center works tirelessly to make sure we meet and exceed these standards every day.
We received our two-star rating award because of our overall commitment to quality. We offer a wonderful environment for children to grow and develop. Some reasons we’ve received state recognition for our efforts include:
- Smaller class sizes so your child gets more attention
- Highly trained teachers dedicated to continuous improvement
- Planned learning activities based on Ohio’s Early Learning Content Standards and Infant and Toddler Guidelines
- An outstanding work environment – paid staff benefits mean a professional atmosphere which retains good teachers for your child
