Infants
We have two infant rooms – the Nurturing Nest (birth- 1 year) and the Munchkin Manor (12-18 months). Our teachers spend one-on-one time with each child and ensure their unique needs are met while in their care.
In the Nurturing Nest our staff works to meet the individual needs of each child and work cooperatively with parents to maintain the desired feeding and napping schedule the family has developed. Cognitive growth is stimulated by encouragement of motor skills and positive social interactions. Play areas are designed to offer infants the opportunity to discover for themselves the world around them. Infants are observed as they work through discovery processes. They are allowed to seek out activities that are safe and ones in which they are interested in.
After children turn 1, they move to the Munchkin Manor- a place where infants move from crawling to walking and begin to learn and explore more independently. Children are encouraged to feel, hear, touch and see. Open-ended materials for experimentation are offered to encourage children to name things and compare and contrast objects. Uninterrupted play is offered with basic routines initiated only for mealtimes, diaper changing, naptimes etc. Download our welcome packet here!
