Infants and Older Infants:

The staff at KidSpace provides activities and opportunities that encourage curiosity, exploration and problem solving appropriate to the developmental levels and learning styles of each child. Infants and toddlers are encouraged to play independently.

Cognitive growth is stimulated by encouragement of motor skills and positive social interactions. Play areas are designed to offer infants the opportunity to discover for themselves the world around them. Infants are observed as they work through discovery processes. They are allowed to seek out activities that are safe and ones in which they are interested in.

Children are encouraged to feel, hear, touch and see. Open-ended materials for experimentation are offered to encourage children to name things and compare and contrast objects. Uninterrupted play is offered with basic routines initiated only for mealtimes, diaper changing, naptimes etc.
