We have two toddler areas – the Curious Corner (18 months to 2 ½ years) and the Creative Cove (2 ½ to 3 years). These rooms offer a more structured environment for the young child. Teacher-directed activities in the toddler program stimulate language development, small/large muscle coordination and creative concept skills. These daily goals are initiated in short-termed activities and/or integrated into play situations.

In the Curious Corner our teachers design age appropriate activities and encourage more group and social play through circle time every morning and many organized lessons. In this classroom children begin sitting at tables to eat, wash their own hands, throw away trash, clean up toys and begin potty training.

In the Creative Cove our teachers continue the daily schedule and rules of the younger toddler room, with the additional goal of preparing the children for our pre-school program. Children moving to this area are potty trained (or close to it) and work on more structured and complex learning throughout the day. Download our welcome packet here!
